Men's Fashion Industry

The trend of men's fashion is very different compared to that of the women's fashion line. Basically, it started with the influence of the military styles that were seen mostly during World War II. Another big factor that built the men fashion industry was the presence of ally countries in a war-wrecked territory, where men were able to adapt to foreign designs that were notably worn by their country's visitors. Examples of these would be the scarf worn around the neck or the cravat and the ever popular necktie. This worked out very well during the 1950s where the men were formally distinguished as the head of the family. The necktie and tight trousers make them look more authoritative, totally allowing them to live up to their new titles.

It is safe to say that over the years, men's fashion was born, revolutionised, and reborn again. In the 1990s alone, men's fashion was inspired by the retro style where men resort to vintage second-hand clothing-a fad that made all youth cool at that time. It was also during the 1990's that men started to have more fashion style options as the market offered them more clothes and suits in various colours and cuts.

Nowadays, the biggest influence in the trend of men's fashion is derived from the entertainment industry that is heavily dominated by the male species. Different music icons from different genres have created a perfect blend of all the distinct features all fashion decades. There are baggy pants used by hip hop and rhythm and blues artists, a fad of the 1920's. There are the rock stars wearing leather jackets and black denims, a look that was a hit with teenagers from the 1950's. Indeed, men's fashion has continuously used different elements from the past in order to create the look of the future and clearly, designers and other players in the men's fashion industry are banking on that constant fact.
